Emirates National Schools Unveils Centres of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training

Emirates National Schools (ENS) has inaugurated “Centres of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training” on its campuses in Mohamed bin Zayed City and Al Ain.

Emirates National Schools’ Centres of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training have been launched in collaboration with German firm GIZ. As part of this partnership, these centres aim to prepare future leaders through innovative vocational and technical education programmes.

A total of 3,779 students have already enrolled in these m programmes to hone their skills, stated the local news agency WAM. These are designed to build the students’ personalities and prepare them to become future leaders and active community contributors.

The initiative, directed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, aims to seamlessly integrate technical and vocational education into the academic curriculum, enabling students to engage with technological and professional advancements, the same news report added.

Furthermore, vocational training caters to instructional programmes or courses focusing on the skills required for a particular job. Industry experts noted that integrating classroom knowledge with practical skills equips students to venture into diverse avenues in future.

Emirates National Schools, affiliated with the Presidential Court, first opened its doors in Mohammed bin Zayed City — situated within the UAE capital — in 2002, according to the ENS website. The institution currently consists of six complexes and caters to over 12,680 students, ranging from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade, across its branches.
